4th Attleboro Area Sesquicentennial Civil War Event

1st Baptist Church

North Washington/Park Street, North Attleboro, MA 

10:30 to 11:30: Baseball and the Civil War with author Edward Achorn

12 pm to 12:30: Noah Craig and the Massachusetts 54th with Cindy Thibodeau, genealogist (Cancelled due to illness.)

1 pm to 1:30: Music of the Civil War and Beyond with the Larson Senior Center Theater Group under the direction of Mayor Kevin Dumas, accompanied by Claudia Binns on the piano.

Presentations include the topics: Navy and Marine roles in the Civil War, United States Colored Troops, Southern Women’s Experiences, New Civil War items from the Falls Fire Barn.

For military gamers, there will be a miniature wargame featuring a skirmish between the 1st Rhode Island Cavalry and some of Jubal Early’s troops.
